What are the meaning of Rock Piles in the supernatural?

So I finally watched The Blair Witch Project, and I was wondering if this story has any accurate information on the doings of the supernatural. Rock piles for example? I was quite interested at that part of the story.

I know it is not a true story, I was just curious of the ideas in the storyline.

    My guess, and it is purely my guess not based on any sort of fact or historical research, is that relatively uniform piles of rocks don’t occur naturally. In other words, walking into a clearing and seeing a bunch of stones piled singly on top of one another, meant that the formation had to have been placed. And if you assume (or are aware of) no other human presence around you, then the presence of the rocks suggests a some other form of life that must account for that placement.

    But that’s just me.

    I do believe in the supernatural, but i know this man and he like forms piles of rocks on top of one another for a hobby! Like randomly, i used to live in the country and i rode my horse with his daughter, and yeah i would see them randomly everywhere from where he would just start putting them on top of one another, he did it neatly as well so it wouldn’t fall.

    Even his entrance to the road to his house was two big rock piles, but the entrance was neater and bigger than usual.

    So yeah he pretty much used to play tetris with the stones! haha
    There are tonnes of people who do this.

    I believe it signifies the people have been marked by a witch. Most witches use products from nature to make their spells, so it only stands to reason that the witch cast spells on the rocks to entrap and mark her victims. This is also why the stick figures were hanging from the trees, the witch placed these cursed items all over the woods to prevent her victims from leaving. ;-)
