piggy asked:

My bro, who is in Hong Kong, bought a piles of DVDs like 30 in Amazon and wanted me to ship them out to him from the US. Those are original DVDs, but some are used. Is it illegal to ship internationally?
scoutma53: Those are Art movies and my bro bought them for collections only.

No just pack them with heroin, they’ll never find them.

No, it’s not illegal to ship DVDs internationally.
I order lots of my DVDs through Amazon.co.uk as I live abroad now and miss the television back home.

Just pack the DVDs up, take them to the post office, make sure you fill out the paperwork (MARK IT AS GIFT IF YOU CAN, so he won’t have to pay taxes upon receiving them) and send them :)

So he bought them off Amazon but they are being sent to you and then you have to send them to Hong Kong? I don’t think it’s illegal but is he sure they will actually play in HK? Different systems and all that. Of course he may just be planning to make dozens of copies and sell them back to the US – which is of course illegal.

No. You can ship them anywhere, as long as they were purchased legally. In other words, not bootlegs.
We’ve sold dvd’s on ebay and shipped them to many countries.
