I’m a 24 year old male. About 2 weeks ago, I noticed some red dots on the tissue when I went to the restroom. I also noticed a red color in the toilet. I had noticed it 2-3 times before that but didn’t think much of it because I was struggling with constipation at the time. I freaked out and went to the doctor and he did a rectum test. However, he said he couldn’t find any blood at all but said I had a bit of hemorrhoids. Also, the result of my blood test came back and he said everything looked fine (blood, liver, etc.). Therefore, he said it was unlikely that I had something serious (99.9% was what he said). Also, since he didn’t see any blood and my test results were normal, he could not ask my insurance (MSI) to pay for a colonoscopy and that I would have to pay for it out of pocket ($1000 or so). He also told me to stop taking any kind of medication since I had been taking medicine for gastroenteritis about a month earlier. So, I went home feeling a little better about it. But I have still been noticing bits of light red/orange in my stool. There are orange dots here and there. Also, when I flush, I can see a bit of orange/red color which is unusual I think (sorry for being graphic). Should I be worried? I don’t think there’s much I can do at this point besides getting a colonoscopy, which I would have to pay for myself. Am I really seeing blood? Should I be worried?

I’m only 25, which seems awfully young, considering that for several years now I’ve had an on-again, off-again dull pain during and after defecation. I’ve assumed it to be internal hemorrhoids, so I’ve started squatting to poop and that helps a lot. But still the pain flares up every now and again. If they really are hemorrhoids, why don’t they go away?? They actually started not too long after I started experimenting with anal sex, could that have anything to do with it?

I have acute IBS and the treatment with this gastroenterologist were not going anywhere. So i went to another gastroenterologist, who put me on a new medication. I had appointment with this gastroenterologist today and he got mad at me why i went to the other gastro-enterologist. He then said, i will not treat you now. Don’t even bother anymore to come here

Basically thats all he did and he will bill my health insurance company several 100’s of dollar for this scolding only. Is this fair? As a patient why can’t I see another gastro-enterologist for relief or get second opinion? Is that not my right?

This gastroenterologist was so pissed at me, he was like fuming. Why should he get his money today? Please tell me. I went to him for hemorrhoids and he REFUSED to treat me because you dared to go to another gastroenterologist. Is this fair?
To whom can i complain of such conduct? He plainly refused to treat me. Is this even legal?

I have external hemorrhoid and whenever I go to toilet my anus starts hurting.
I will be going to the hospital tomorrow.
I’m kind of embarrased for the doctor to look down there. (natural).
Is it 100% certainty that the doc will look down there ?
I’m already taking a laxative, any other comment or advice will be APPRECIATED!!
